TALK INTERNATIONAL
ACOMMODATION DESCRIPTIONS
Your host family, apartment or hotel will normally be booked from the Sunday immediately prior to your course start date to the Saturday morning following the end of your course. Host and apartment housing is booked on a single-room basis but you can request shared housing and then we will match you with another student where possible. It is our policy not to place students from the same country in the same home or apartment.
Students who wish to make their own accommodation arrangements, or live with friends, while studying at TLI, may do so. This should be indicated on the Application Form.
Host Family
Our hosts welcome international students and have a genuine interest in sharing their homes with you, in learning about your country, and in showing you the American way of life. The hosts are different in their characteristics and you may be placed with a family with children and pets or with a single person or older couple.
This is an excellent way for you to have a supportive home environment and to make friendships that can last a lifetime. English will be your language of communication. Breakfast and dinner each day are included in accommodation fees.
Studio Apartment
For a more independent lifestyle, we can reserve a fully-furnished studio apartment for you. This option is available only to students 18 years old or older.
Typically, the apartment complexes are conveniently located. We offer studio apartments, which feature living and sleeping areas and a small kitchen, as you will be responsible for providing your own meals. Linen and towels are provided and there is a weekly cleaning service.
Hotel
We have selected a variety of hotels that range from inexpensive, family-run establishments to deluxe, resort-style properties. All are well managed; quality establishments located in good areas close to school and are near shopping centers, the beach and public transportation. This option is designed to meet the discerning requirements of business executives.
Room Rental
For students who want to be independent, but yet live with a family, TALK organizes rental rooms in private homes. In this type of accommodation meals are not included, but students are free to use the kitchen, and eating utensils. Rental rooms are arranged only after the student starts school. For arranging a rental room, TALK charges a one-time placement fee.
University Residence
