How is the weather?

The weather is fabulous!

The climate is sub-tropical and Fort Lauderdale gets 310 days per year of sunshine. Temperatures average 25 degrees Celsius year-round. Summer temperatures are around 28 degrees, with August being the hottest month. January is the "coldest" month with temperatures averaging 21 degrees.

It can rain in August and September, but the rain, while heavy, is short-lived.

At any time of the year, make sure you have lots of good sun tan cream! The school, offices and shops all have air conditioning, so bring a sweater, too.
