How much spending money will I need?

It is difficult to recommend how much money to bring because every student's lifestyle and personal requirements are different . However, as a very rough guide, we suggest that you budget on $150.00 per week (if you are staying in a homestay you may need less, as meals are included). This will allow you to take part in excursions and activities, eat out at restaurants etc.

You should bring your money in US Dollar Travelers' Checks, as American banks are very slow in exchanging foreign currency. Bring about $200.00 in cash to help you during your arrival and first week at the school.

All major credit cards are readily accepted in the USA.

Your travel to and from the USA
Transfers from the airport on arrival and to the airport on departure (available at additional cost)
Meals (for students not staying in a homestay)

How can I pay?

We recommend that you enroll through the local TALK representative in your area.
